Holiday camps around Italy plus Renaissance jewels
Fly to to Pisa where we will view the Bauhaus-inspired 1930s holiday camps at Tirrenia (with side trip to Lucca and Renaissance gardens).
Then by picturesque train ride to Rimini, home to Alberti's important early church, and mini-bus visits to facisti holiday camps.
Then on to Urbino, the most beautiful of all hilltop Renaissance towns, birthplace of Raphael, home of the most exquisite collection of paintings, and Gianfranco de Carlo's university and other modernist interventions before flying home from Rimini.

Wednesday 13 April: flight then check into hotel Universo [in Lucca]
Thursday 14 April: visit 1930s holiday camps near Pisa by public transport
Friday 15 April: visit Renaissance Gardens by minibus
Saturday 16 April: Train to Rimini via Bologna [where we may spend a few hours
viewing Corbusier's 1925 Paris pavilion]. Hotel in Rimini
Sunday 17 April: all-day minibus tour of 1930s holiday camps terminating in Urbino at Hotel Bonconte.
Monday 18 April: spend day in Urbino visiting Giancarlo di Carlo's Modernist
interventions in Urbino University
Tuesday 19 April: free day in Urbino visiting Palazzo Ducale with superb collection of paintings. Late afternoon Bus to Rimini airport.
